How Grand Is Your Total?
Work the 7 problems, trying to generate as great an answer as you can for each problem.
You can use the digits \(0\) to \(9\), up to \(4\) times each, in creating all 7 problems. You can keep track of the digits you use inside the grid. (Notice there are \(40\) digits in the grid and \(36\) spaces...which four digits won't you use?)
The goal is to maximize the grand total, from adding totals of all the problems, under the conditions given.
Compare your grand total with your classmates. Can you come up with a bigger grand total? We're not giving you the answer on this one, so keep working until you think you have the biggest total possible.
